SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Sycuan Casino is reopening Wednesday with limited operations and strict public health and safety protocols in place.
At 12 p.m., the casino in El Cajon will open its doors for the first time since its mid-March closure. Sycuan is the second casino to reopen this week, with Viejas Casino and Resort reopening on Monday.
Jamul Casino is slated to reopen Thursday, while Valley View and Harrah’s are scheduled to open on Friday.
Officials say Sycuan Casino’s reopening will come in phases, with Wednesday’s opening including the activation of select gaming machines and a limit on the number of people at gaming tables to encourage social distancing.
10News learned Sycuan’s pool, buffet, and other restaurants are closed during the initial phase.

Face coverings will be required for anyone seeking to enter the casino, and temperature checks will be administered for guests and staff.
Buses that normally pick up guests from certain areas will only be used by Sycuan staff.
